New Book Reviewing Job

Oh happy day, oh happy day! I just accepted a job reviewing books for money. What is better than that? I know…nothing. Getting paid to stay home and read all day and still get paid is a dream come true; it’s the dream job.

When I told my friends, the advice they gave me was to start a reading journal. First, my common sense told me exactly what it was (keeping a record of the books I read and my thoughts as I read) but my mind still wanted to know exactly how to keep one. They told me the basics of keeping a reading journal: write the name of the book, the author, the dates I started and finished, and my personal thoughts on the book as I read. Seems pretty easy and since I don’t like to keep a physical journal (too much writing by hand) I thought why not turn my long time blog Composure into a reading journal.

Currently I have thirty something books in my room that I will begin reading, but I have to go through them to see which one I will be reading first. The best part about the job is that all my reviews don’t necessarily have to be on newly written books.
